Holy smokes what a night! The Pretty Reckless have been in my rotation for the last seven years since I discovered their 2010 album โLight Me Upโ โ โMy Medicineโ is one of my all-time favorite songs. Getting to cross them off my bucket list was such a dream and on Taylor Momsenโs birthday no less!

Kicking the night off for support was the band, Doug. I arrived at the venue twenty
minutes early so I could cover everyone, but they were almost done with their set by the
time I was inside. This was boding well for my old ass because I had a show the night
before and it takes longer to recover in 30โs. From what I heard, they were cool and
worth checking out.
I knew Paris Jackson did music, but I had only heard her playing acoustic tunes on her
Instagram a few years ago. After hearing and seeing her perform live, I sprinted to
Spotify to add all her music. What an absolute talent! She has such a unique tone and
ethereal stage presence but make it rock, ya know? I particularly loved latest single
โstitched (on & on),โ and โHappiest Day of My Lifeโ from her upcoming sophomore
album of the same name that comes out August 21 st (Spotify says 20 th but Parisโ
Instagram says 21 st ).

With the crowd thoroughly warmed up, The Pretty Reckless stepped onto the stage and
gave Dallas one hell of a performance. The band kicked off their set with four songs
from their earlier records before diving into their latest album, โDear God.โ They
seamlessly wove in and out of their discography for a solid fifteen-song set including the
live debut of โDark Days.โ About halfway through their time on stage, lead singer Taylor
Momsen jumped down to greet the crowd at the barricade, running back and forth
feeding from their energy and stopping in the center to sing with them.
The end of the set crushed! Bringing things to a close, the band electrically performed
fan favorites โMake Me Wanna Die,โ โ Taylor said she still surprisingly enjoys playing
that one live โ โHeaven Knowsโ โ a classic โ and โGoing To Hellโ before ending on a
banger of a high with โAbout You.โ

I was at this show! This is in my top 3 shows of all times!
Did you get any shots when Taylor came off the stage and stood up on the step?
