Booting up the Xbox 360 with friends back in the day with plastic instruments was always a blast. You may be wondering what this has to do with this post. Well, back during Rock Band 2, I discovered Lacuna Coil and was instantly mesmerized by the voice of avid gamer and Playstation Partner Cristina Scabbia. Crazy how gaming always brings you to so many avenues! That being said, Lacuna Coil came with the energy you’d expect to the House of Blues in Orlando, FL.

Before we got to the main event, the night kicked off with AXTY a 3 piece band from Brazil who got the night started with some deep growling metal. Definitely a nice tone setter for the night. Following them was Escape the Fate, who really brought the crowd to their feet! Incorporating synchronized light tubes to their set brought a very unique visual to their set. It was my introduction to them so all of the music was new to me. Deja Vu being their latest single really stood out and made me a fan.

Then the Main Act arrived, with Lacuna Coil fresh off releasing their latest album, Sleepless Empire, gave us the exact type of energy you wanted. Lead singer and founding member, Andrea Ferro, brought that familiar growl you came to expect. Cristina joined in and the band brought that high intense and pulsing sound that truly turned the venue into a standing room only experience where even the pit got a little more dense than you’d expect! Definitely a night to remember for everyone in attendance!
