What is Aliyahcore?
I’m sure you’ve seen the comments or videos inspired by the look! Aliyahcore is an alternative style named after influencer/Tiktoker Aliyahsinterlude. However, not every alt is dressed in Aliyahcore! Want to try it out? Here’s what you’ll need:
Garter
A garter belt is a staple! You can also use a scrap of fabric of your choice and tie it around your thigh.
One (1) or two (2) fishnet tops
You can get this by taking your fishnets and cutting a hole in the crouch area, then cutting the ends off of the feet. You can wear this alone, or layer it with a top!
Platforms
A platform shoe is a must have. Yes, your Converse count!
Earmuffs
Another staple! Not every alt person wearing earmuffs is Aliyahcore, but if you are wearing Aliyahcore, you definitely have earmuffs on!
Mini skirt or short dress
Needs no explanation. If you are uncomfortable wearing a skirt or dress, you can always wear shorts. Need to cover up? Wear your garter or tie over your bottoms and adjust it so that it doesn’t look too awkward.
Fur
Fur boots, fur cuffs, fur earmuffs. You choose!
