Power chords and pop punk vibes? In 2026? Count us in!

From their fourth studio album, One Outta Ten locks us into a time capsule and transports us to the early 2000โ€™s with their track Distant Stars.

At first listen youโ€™re immediately transported to backpacks and hoodies walking through school hallways wondering โ€œugh when will this day endโ€ while simultaneously being filled a youthful exuberance that can only be called hope.

It feels like something youโ€™ve listened to back in the day so it locks you in with the feeling of nostalgia, but by the end of the song your perspective has shifted to present day. In all honesty, it feels like reliving teenage years and growing up. Feelings of lost love and hope for a brighter day fill your heart as youโ€™re left wondering where life took you. I mean, just a moment ago we were sixteen year olds swooning over Pete Wentz and trying to get hair like Hayley Williams. Now weโ€™re adults, some of us parents, wondering when pop punk wasnโ€™t the center of our universe anymore.

I can say so far that the journey that One Outta Ten is on is only just beginning and my millennial heart is beating out of my chest in anticipation of where this will take us.
